We Care About What We Do
Our beach houses are not cookie cutter, rented to the masses homes.
We only book direct and don't rely on other booking sites.
The homes have an abundance of amenities and beautifully decorated rooms.
Guests experience a vacation rental that feels more like staying at a good friend's house for vacation, rather than a rental home.
We want YOU to experience who we are, how much we care about what we do, and how we offer a great exchange for both guest and owner.
The Salty 7 Beach House
There are personal touches all over that give you a glimpse of who we are- the color palate is our wedding colors, hammock swings because our kids love sensory feedback, splashes of orange because Jennie’s a Hokie and tons of throw pillows to keep it comfy. We cherish what we’ve created and hope you find it as special as we do. Duck is a gem in the Outer Banks. From Salty 7 you can walk to everything. Sunsets are two minutes away. Great food all over and sunrises worth waking up for every trip.
The sign in the front corner is our actual wedding logo. We love seeing guests take photos there as a reminder of their stay.
Salty Sister Beach House
Fast forward another month, and we purchased this special house, Salty Sister. First, it’s in the same neighborhood our family has always vacationed. Second, the house is unique; tons of woodworking details and a beachy cottage vibe. We named her Salty Sister since she’s the little sister of Salty 7, basically the same beach house feel but smaller.
We updated the space for families who want bright colors and glimpses of the ocean and sound with amazing light throughout.
There are personal touches all over that give you a peek of who we are: the colors are bright and fun, lots of space at the pool to spend long afternoons, splashes of orange because Jennie’s a Hokie, and a well-stocked kitchen to enjoy meals together.
We cherish what we’ve created, and we hope you find it as special as we do. Duck is a gem in the Outer Banks. From Salty Sister you can walk to everything. Sunsets are a few minutes away. Great food all over, and sunrises worth waking up for every trip.
Salty Story Beach House
But this is the house that gives us perks unlike the others – OCEAN VIEWS. An elevator (which we love for family) and so many king masters. SPACE is all over this house. And decks and light that are so bright and big.
We purchased in October 2020 and struggled to find the perfect name for the addition to our homes. And then we reflected on what every house and every vacation ends up having: it’s own story. And let’s be honest: 2020 gave us all way more stories than we ever imagined. So we knew Salty Story was perfect; the keeper of memories, the back drop to moments, and a home that captures it all.
We love the light, big spaces, and especially those front steps that will capture photos of families for years to come.
Salty Soul Beach House
Our original plan was to completely update the lower level, a total gut to convert garage space and unfinished area into living space, add a pool, hot tub, fencing and tons of landscaping. Well, good intentions tend to expand the scope of work. We started to creep upstairs and soon walls were coming down to open up living space and dining area.
Our goal was to combine a clean, more simple beach house, mix new upgrades with old school vintage vibes and still make it Salty…a vacation rental that feels like a home with personal touches and lots of living space, inside and out.
The name is a tribute to Jennie’s Dad. He had the chance to see it while we bid on it and had our offer accepted but sadly he passed suddenly before we closed. So you’ll see some pops of purple (he was a die hard Vikings fan) and of course, the golf cart named Frankie resides at this home.
